Current Impact:
✅ Fully Operational
In-person with optional masking. We ask that prospective members inquire ahead of time before attending a meeting as guidance changes often. Give us a call at (503) 386-0556, or email info@bsa259.com. More contact info as well as social links can be found on our contact page.
😷 Ways to Stay Safe:
Consider upgrading to a N95/KN95/KF94 mask for increased protection (compared to a standard surgical mask) for you and those around you.
Social distance when indoors.
Be mindful of symptoms: Vaccinated individuals may have little (nasal congestion, cough, sore throat) to no symptoms from the Deltacron, Omicron, and Omicron BA.2.xx variants.
Stay home until your symptoms improve if you have them.
COVID-19 Misinformation Spreads Fast.
There's money in misinformation for advertisers, social media sites, and online deception artists. That's why everyone must be diligent when sourcing information about COVID-19. Before reading COVID-19 information, studies, or articles, check:
Who is funding the study or article?
Does the creator have proper academic credentials to conduct research?
Is it peer-reviewed?
Are there obvious holes in the methodology? Is a certain group left out?
Is the language professional?
What does the data tell us? Is there other, conflicting data?
Think big picture, and take multiple studies or articles into account- What's the overwhelming demeanor?
Is the tone neutral, or does it incite a specific emotion?
